TSUTAYA bookstore is originated from Japan, therefore it has more Japanese version books than English version. Unlike other bookstores in Taiwan (such as Eslite Bookstore), you can bring three “unpaid” book to its coffee shop next door or you can bring drinks to the bookstore. 日本人飄洋過海到台北東區來設立蔦屋書店的海外分店, 進口的書籍大部分都是日本居多. 跟誠品最大的不同為可以帶三本未付錢的書進去旁邊互通的咖啡店一邊喝咖啡一邊看書, 你也可以把飲料帶進去書店,一邊喝一邊享受看書的樂趣.
In America, Barnes & Noble already had B&N Cafe setting up inside the bookstore. People are allowed to bring unpaid books to the coffee shop. But bringing the drinks to the bookstore is still not allowed. 在美國的Barnes & Nobles書店都設有開放室的咖啡店, 顧客可以帶未付錢的書進去咖啡店看, 但是禁止帶飲料進去書籍區.
However, let’s hope that there wont be any news about people spill drinks on the book and are not willing to pay for it!! 希望這種全新的經營模式不要鬧出顧客飲料弄髒書 ,但是卻不願意付錢的新聞.....
